Empowering lgbtq individuals toward collective liberation.
I am a licensed psychologist in Arizona, and practicing psychotherapist dedicated to providing accessible, affirming, and confidential services for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. With a specialization in gender identity and sexuality, I offer personalized therapy and support to help you navigate life's challenges and achieve greater well-being.
My practice provides compassionate therapy for individuals seeking to improve their mental health. I specialize in issues of chronic illness, gender identity, sexuality, somatic-based mindfulness, and neurodivergence, within relational, liberation-based and anti-colonial centered practices.
At Zulema Wellbeing, we believe that every individual has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. We strive to empower our clients to overcome challenges and achieve their goals through a collaborative and strengths-based approach, though community connections, and through understanding their own neurodivergent strengths with a LGBTIQQ-friendly therapist and queer psychologist.
We offer a range of services, including individual and relationship therapy. We might work together using somatic-based mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Multimodal Eye Movement Integration (MEMI), psychodynamic talk therapy, or a combination of approaches. We also provide and consultation services.
I am trained in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, trauma, body image issues, suicidal ideation, and relationship issues, and more, for transgender and queer clients. I am committed to staying up to date with the latest research and techniques in the field of psychology, psychoanalysis and psychotherapy.
I am Chad M. Mosher, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist in Arizona Initially, I studied music at Ithaca College in New York for cello performance, and later earned a graduate degree in cello performance from the University of Connecticut. Although I do not play or perform anymore, music is foundational to my work with clients, and integral to my own self-care needs. In 1999 I returned to school for a master's in counseling from Idaho State University. My doctoral training at the University of Memphis focused on gender identity, sexuality, multiculturalism, and anti-racism. Since moving to Tucson in 2004, I have worked within the LGBTQIA+ community as a community member, professional care worker, and mentor. My recent trainings focused on decolonial and anti-racist, gender affirming psychotherapy, psychodynamic, and Buddhist psychological practices.
Other aspects about me: I am a Virgo, identify as nonbinary (they/them) and femme. Musically, punk, goth, new wave, dark wave, and metal have been my focus, though I am open to learning more!
